Naya Kanga Peak (5844m/19,160ft) is an interesting and appropriate Himalayan peak for an introductory climb in Nepal. The peak is accessible to a wide range of climbers, it is aesthetic and straightforward yet challenging, a perfect objective for a guided beginner climb. The Naya Kanga trekking peak lies in the Langtang region of Nepal. The peak is located at 28°10’06” Nand 85°32’56’’ E. Most climbers attempt the peak from the Northeast ridge which is considered the normal climbing route.
The best time of year to climb Naya Kanga is in the spring (April, May) and autumn (October, November) months. Naya Kanga Peak rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but difficult mountain to climb. The normal route to climb Naya Khanga Peak is a trek through the Helambu Region and a climb via the snowy northeast ridge. Naya Kanga Peak Climbing rewards the spectacular view of the mountains in Nepal and Tibet like Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and mighty Shishapangma (8027m). Easy access to the region and availability of several snow peaks scattered around for acclimatization make this Langtang Region an ideal destination for mountaineers.
