The Helambu valley trekking is a short easy trek and Helambu trekking is culturally, naturally richest trekking and hiking trail in Nepal. Helambu valley trek is in the northeast of Kathmandu valley bound on the north by a wall of 5,000m peaks. Helambu valley trek is a classic. This trekking trail is considered as one of the rarely crowded and less touristic trekking trial of Langtang region .This trek starts from the Sundarijal after drive 1 hour 30 minutes from Kathmandu. Our experienced trekking guide will lead you through the Sundarijal Mulkhara ascend till Shivapuri Hill then trail descend one hour to Chisapani. Chispani is one of the best viewpoint centers of Helambu trekking. off in lush tropical forest, taking you through pristine rhododendron forests to the high scenic views of amazing landscape diversities. The trek passes through thick mountain forests with great Himalayan views and toward the end of the trip, you will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries. Helambu valley trek offers you a short and beautiful trek off the beaten track, perfect for experiencing the peace of nature and the variety of fauna and flora of Nepal while staying relatively close to Kathmandu. After your landing at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International airport 1,400m, our office
representative will welcome your and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel/(Bed

Departure to Sudarijal from Kathmandu; 1 hour by local bus and trek to Chisapani. The unpaved
road from Kathmandu turns into a trail near a small hydroelectric plant. The trail passes
through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The first settlement you will come
across is Mulkharka with Tamang inhabitants. The route heads down the ridge through the
forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisopani (2300m.). Chisopani is cold for its weather. It has
magnificent views from Annapurna to Everest. (2,140m) 5 hours trek. Overnight at
Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)
Trek from Chisapani to Golphu Bhanjyang (2,140m), Kutumsang (2,450m). The trail continues to
drop from Chisopani on a good, sometimes level trail that crosses the meadow and fields. You
will then descend through Pathi Bhanjyang till Golphu Bhanjyang. The trail climbs the ridge
from Golphu Bhanjyang to another pass at 2620m. The meadow makes a good camping spot, its
downhill to Kutumsang at 2470m, in a saddle atop the ridges. 6/ 7 hours trek/Overnight at
Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)
After having breakfast we start heading to Mangenkot (3,285 m). The trail climbs above
Kutumsang on a steep, eroded trail mostly through fir and rhododendron forest where there
are no permanent settlements then descends gradually to Magenkot. There are few lodges.
The trail gradually ascends through the enchanting forest enriched with beautiful
rhododendron, oak and other trees. This trail offers the breathtaking views of snow-capped
mountains. 4/5 hours trek Overnight at Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).
Trek from Mangenkot to Thadepati (3,640m). The trail goes steep, eroded trail mostly through
fir and rhododendron forest. Tharepati offers breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains
such as Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Langshisa, Jugal, Numbur and many others. 4 hours
trek/Overnight at Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).
Trek from Thadepati to Melamchi Gaun (2,520m). From Thadepati, trail descends through the
steep pine and rhododendron forest. We can have great views down into the Helambu valley
and across to Jugal Himal and Numbur in the Solu Khumbu through this trail. Melamchi Gaon is
surrounded by beautiful forests. Main inhabitant of this place are Sherpa people with their
distinctive culture.
WTrek from Melamchi village to Tarkegaying (2,560m). Leaving Melamchi Gaon, we trek along the
descending path until you cross the stream called Melamchi. Our trail passes through Sherpa
people inhabitant. Tarkeghyang is a beautiful Sherpa village with one of the oldest and biggest
monasteries. Tarkeghyang, also known as Helambu is named after the Helmu caste. The Sherpa
people living here originally belong to Helmu caste. 5 hours trek/Overnight at Lodge/Teahouse
(Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).
We head towards our next destination, Sermathang (2,621m). It takes about 4-5 hours walk
from Tarkeyghyang. Along the trail, we enjoy the beautiful views of white mountains. Overnight
at Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).
After breakfast, we prepare for our walk to Kakani. We trek from Sermathang to Kakani
(1,998m). After 4/ 5 hours scenic walk, we reach to the another beautiful view point Kakani.
Kakani is a beautiful village with the amazing view of Helambu valley and white mountains near
from Kathmandu. Overnight at Lodge/Teahouse (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).
Trek from Kakani to Kathmandu 5 hours or by local bus to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. At
night, have farewell dinner with cultural program at typical restaurant. Overnight at hotel/Bed
and Breakfast plan.
