Overview

Tibet Tour with Everest Base Camp is an incredible trip that starts in Lhasa where we explore the architectural wonders of the Potala and Norbulingka palaces, which are both former homes of the Dalai Lama, tour prime monasteries and the busy Barkhor Bazaar. We continue our drive across the arid Tibetan plateau to Shigatse, Sakya and Rongbuk exploring the towns’ fascinating monasteries and fortresses. Located at the foot of the mighty Everest, Rongbuk Monastery is the highest monastery in the world.

This all-encompassing Tibet tour also takes us to the base camp of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on earth. Our next stop is at Mansarovar Lake which is a beautiful sacred lake shrouded in Buddhist and Hindu legends. By the end of our ‘Tibet Tour with Everest Base Camp we will have had a chance to marvel at the extraordinary Tibetan landscape, the rich culture of its people, and the deeply embedded spirituality that makes Tibet so mysterious and fascinating at the same time.

Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m/4264 ft) .

After our arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, a our
reprentative/staff will pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel. We can take
rest and later visit the company office in Thamel, a popular tourist hub. However, there
will be a welcome dinner in the evening where we get to experience excellent Nepalese
cuisine.

Day 02:Kathmandu to Lhasa or Arrival in Lhasa by Flight.

Morning you will fly for about over the panoramic Himalayan ranges to the capital of Tibet “Lhasa”. Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650 Mt. is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means “Place of the Gods” the residence of the Dalai Lama, on arrival you will be met by the local representative and transfer to your respective Hotel (60km/hrs). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: In Lhasa: Two Full Days Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa (Bed, Breakfast).

After breakfast processed for full days Sightseeing of Potala Palace, Potala Palace is one of the most beautiful monuments in Tibet with 1,000 room and 13 stores to explore this is probably the most popular tourist attraction in Tibet and Jokhang temple. Jokhang temple which was constructed back on 07th century attracts hundred of tourists every year. This temple has a very huge Sakyanumi Buddha statue and is considered the holiest place in Tibet. Barkhor Market Palace, Barkhor Street is the centrifugal tide of pilgrim then you can see the several small, fascinating temples along the route. After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery Sera Monastery specialized in the fundamental precepts of Buddhism. Sera survived the ravage of Cultural Revolution with the light damage although many of the lesser colleges were destroyed. Drepung Monastery Drepung Monastery was one of the world’s largest monasteries it was founded in 1416. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04:Lhasa to Shigatse (3,900m/12792ft/351km,(Bed,Breakfast).

Drive to Shigatse via Yamdroke Lake Yamdroke Lake is a freshwater lake in Tibet; it is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. It is over 72 km long. The lake is surrounded by many snow- capped mountains and is fed by the numerous small steams. The drive is wonderful that crosses two scenic passes of the Korala Pass (5,010m) and Kambala (4,794m). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05: Shigatse to Ronbuk (4,980m/12334ft) 333km, (Bed, Breakfast).

Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery is the assists in the process of choosing new Dalai Lamas then Drive to Xegar crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) – Visit Ronbuk Monastery and Hike up to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Ronbuk to Gyantse (3,950m/12,956ft) 424km, (Bed, Breakfast).

Ronbuk has become one of the most popular destinations in Tibet offering the chance to gaze on the magnificent north face of the world tallest peak drive to Gyantse. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07:Gyantse to Lhasa (3,650m/11972ft) 261km, (Bed, Breakfast).

Sight – Seeing in Gyantse including Pholkhar Monastery is the main monastery in Gyantse and Kumbum Monastery Kumbum also now called “Little Tower Temple” is a gompa founded in 1,583 in a narrow valley close to the village of lusar in the historical region. Drive scenic to Lhasa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Lhasa to Kathmandu or China, (Bed, Breakfast)

Drive to Gonggar airport and fly back to Kathmandu or to your onward Destination.
