Trip Facts

Panchase Trek is one of the best trekking trails with beautiful natural environment, various culture and different  heritage which is situated Annapurna  region in Nepal. This  Trek is one of the short  and best treks of this region. Actually, Panchase trekking is a lowland trip of Annapurna region. Panchase is one of the hill stations of Annapurna region and also the religious and cultures trek. This is considered to be the best spectacular viewpoint of panoramic Annapurna massif. Panchase is obviously one of the breathtaking landmarks in Nepal. This area is dominated by the presence of such peaks and mountains e.g. the Annapurna Ranges, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu,Lamjung Himal and Machhapuchre etc. These mountains loom in the distance throughout your trek, giving you a true Himalayan experience and lots of enjoyment. Trekking through the lowland villages and mountain communities will expose you to the variety of different cultures of the people and other local ethnic groups.

Panchase trek is one of the best classic treks in western Nepal around Pokhara. The trek is so popular because of its uniqueness and beautiful nature that we see during the trekking. The route goes through the ridge that stretches from Panchase hill to the surrounding areas. The trek can be started from several places like Peace Pagoda, Kande , Kushma & Karkineta and vice-versa. We can see some of the world’s highest mountain as well as some beautiful peaks. The route goes through lush green forest of Rhododendron, Pine, Chestnut and many more other areas which aree very rich With flora and fauna. In the clear days we can see up to Annapurna mountain range, Mt Manaslu in the east and Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Gurja in the west. The Pokhara valley can be seen from the ridge at many places during the trek.

Panchase trek is one of the famous trek that can be done around Pokhara. This trek can be fit for all physical level because of its mild altitude and the terrain is also moderate. The best time for this trekking is September to June except the monsoon season. During the monsoon season there is bad weather due to heavy rain because it is the most raining region in Nepal. Leeches are excessively found on the trail and the way will be slippery & greasy because of rain. The walk goes through few beautiful village mostly inhabited by Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri and so-called lower caste people, so we can see local culture, custom and the way of living. The small terrace in the sloppy and steep areas are quiet interesting and worth observing.

Few things about this trek to get so popular are its close from city & spectacular view can be seen during the trek. The region is enriched for cultural heritage, natural heritage as three mountain over eight thousand can be seen during trekking. The view of Mt fishtail is amazing as it looks different shape from different places. The highest elevation during the trek is 2517 m at Panchase dada where there is a goddess temple. Thus we don’t have to worry about altitude sickness it doesn’t matter any elevation related problem at this height.
