Overview

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most iconic and diverse trekking experiences, winding through the north-central Himalayas and encircling the mighty Annapurna massif. This legendary trail takes you across lush valleys, high-altitude deserts, and towering snow-covered peaks, offering a mesmerizing blend of geography, climate, and culture.

The journey begins with a scenic drive to Besisahar, the starting point of the trek. From there, the trail ascends through subtropical forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups, including Gurung, Manangi, and Thakali communities.

A major highlight of the trek is crossing the Thorong La Pass (5,416m), one of the highest trekking passes in the world. The panoramic views from the pass are breathtaking, showcasing the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Descending from the pass, the trail leads to the sacred site of Muktinath, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. The journey continues through the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest gorge, flanked by the towering peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

The trek concludes in the picturesque city of Pokhara, where you can relax by the serene Phewa Lake and reflect on the incredible journey.
