Overview

Tamang Heritage Trek is an exciting trek into the Himalayas that offers travelers a peek into the everyday lives of the Tamang people who are Nepalese mountain dwellers of the Langtang region.  Tamang heritage trek is newly discovered trail in Nepal. It is a cultural trek through vibrant Tamang villages in Langtang with beautiful panoramic views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang range which lies in the northern part of Kathmandu near Langtang National Park. In Nepal, this trekking is the perfect way of enjoying your life with awesome memories. This trek is very famous itself by its tropical culture of local Tamang people, beautiful architecture of the mountain houses and ancient monasteries.  It also offers a memorable experience through amazing landscapes of alpine and hot spring. The views of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains will be unforgettable. Tamang ritual, Tibetan traditional culture, festival, and local Syabru dance makes this heritage trek very popular and unique.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival

After your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our office representative will welcome you and
transfer to request category hotel accommodation in Kathmandu (1350M/4430ft).

Day 02:Kathmandu- Syabrubesi

Today we set out for our trip. After having breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi(1500m/4920ft) which takes about 07-08hrs. After we reach to Syabrubesi, we stay overnight at Lodge accommodation/(Breakfast-Luncg-Dinner).

Day 03: Syabrubesi- Gatlang

Our walking day starts from here. Today we trek from Syabru besi to Gatlang (2238m/7341ft), for about 05hrs with the scenic views around. After we reach to Gatlang, stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 04:Gatlang-Tatopani

After having our breakfast, we start our trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m/8552ft). We walk for about 07hrs to reach our next beautiful destination Tatopani. Along the way we enjoy the amazing views of snow-capped mountains, green hills and picturesque views of lush valleys. Stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 05: Tatopani-Thuman

Early in the morning we start walking from Tatopani towards Thuman (2338m/7669ft). We walk about 05hrs through the amazing trail with rich beauty of nature, cool air of mountains and many other breathtaking scenarios. After reaching to Thuman we stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 06: Thuman-Bridim

Today, after having your early morning breakfast we start trekking from Thuman to Briddim (2229m/7312ft,) which is a beautiful village mostly inhabited by Tamang people. It takes about 05hrs walk along the amazing trail of Langtang region. After reaching to Bridim, we stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 07:Bridim-Lama Hotel

Early in the morning, we leave Bridim and start our trek towards Lama Hotel (2470m/8102ft). We walk along the trail enjoying the beautiful scenarios for about 05hrs to reach Lama Hotel. We stop for rest and stay overnight Lodge/Teahouse. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 08: Lama Hotel- Langtang

Today we start walking to Langtang (3430m/11250ft). We trek for 06hrs to reach Langtang village. Langtang is a beautiful village with the Tamang heritages, culture. Stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse accommodation. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 09:Langtang-Kyanjin Gumba

After our breakfast, we move towards Kyangjin Gomba (3870m/12695ft). Kyanjin Gumba is heritage site of Tamang and Buddhist religion. We walk for 05 hrs to reach Kyanjin Gumba. Stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse accommodation. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner).

Day 10: Acclimatization Day

Acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gumba at hike to Kyanjin Ri (4773m/15657ft). Stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse accommodation.

Day 11: Kyanjin Gumba-Lama Hotel

We trek all the way back from Kyanjin Gumba to Lama Hotel (2470m/8102ft, 06hrs) lodge accommodation.

Day 12: Syabrubesi- Kathmandu

Drive from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu by tourist bus which takes about seven hours overnight at request category Hotel accommodation. Farewell dinner with culture program In the Evening.

Day 13:Final Departure

Drop to airport for final departure, or alternatively join other programs.
